Whether you love Christmas markets or you enjoy more toys and lights, do not miss Arezzo and its stunning Christmas Village!

What to do for Christmas in Arezzo

The Tyrolean Village is a one of a kind exhibition with countless products on stands coming from Germany, Austria and Tyrol: it is the perfect place to stop at with adults and kids. Whatsmore it offers local products from Tuscany as well.

This year this traditional market is provided with 32 wooden stalls in the beautiful Piazza Grande, the central Square of Arezzo. It is open from Friday to Sundays, including bank holidays. You can taste and savour delicious specialties of the Christmas season: brezel, Tyrolean sausages and many more! Here you can find unique gifts too: there are plenty of artesans, sculptures and lovely hand-made decorations to adorn your home.

Do not miss the amazing Christmas lights, part of the Big Lights Show. They will be projected over historical buildings in the city center, making a magical atmosphere.

Did you know that in Arezzo you can even visit Santa Claus House? This year it is placed again in Palazzo di Fraternità, located in Piazza Grande. Visitors will be able to admire breathtaking well preserved frescoes that adorn this ancient building.

Here kids will be able to meet Santa Claus and give him their letter.

Located just a few steps away from Piazza Grande, Prato di Arezzo is the biggest park of the town, nestled between the Cathedral and the Fortezza Medicea. This is the highest point of Arezzo with a wonderful view. In December it hosts the unmissable Lego Christmas Village, helded in a 300 mq space. The Lego Village offers a great exhibition of the most famous bricks in the world and creative laboratories for children. You can also build your own Lego and take it home with you.
