With our Early Vatican for kids tour, you will enter the Vatican Museums before the opening of the doors to the general public and see the galleries with a limited number of people inside. You will meet your private child-friendly guide at 7:30am, where they will use the iPad and other interactive material to explain to you the Sistine Chapel (explanation is not permitted inside the Sistine Chapel.) At 8am you will enter the Vatican Museums while the general public will enter at 9:00 am. You will follow a child-friendly itinerary through the Vatican Galleries. Your kids will love seeing Nero’s massive bathtub where the great Emperor once bathed and the colorful Gallery of Maps. Your private guide will explain all of these fascinating works through storytelling in a way your kids will relate to, sparking their enthusiasm for Italian art and history.

There is a unique feature: with this tour you will also have the chance to visit the Cabinet of the Masks. This is an exclusive area of the galleries, whose name comes from the Roman mosaics that depict masks that on the floor. 

After the visit of the Vatican galleries with their incredible works of art you will reach the Sistine Chapel, where you will have some free time to admire Michelangelo’s great masterpiece.
