Tour description

Follow the footsteps of early Christians in Rome and explore two of the most significant sites where Saints and worshippers used to pray.

The first part of the tour will take you to discover the life of St. Peter and Paul. Explore Mamertine prison, the most ancient jail of the Eternal city, located beside the Roman Forum.

Both St. Paul and St. Peter were kept prisoners there before being condemned to death during Emperor Nero’s reign.

You will explore Mamertine prison with tickets and audio guides, to learn all about it at your own pace.

Next, you will travel into a comfortable shared vehicle led by our professional English speaking driver to the next stop: Roman Catacombs.

Christian catacombs are underground cemeteries built between the II and III century A.D. to preserve and remember the dead members of the christian community. Most of them are located along the Appian Way.

You will explore Roman catacombs in a small group led by a local catacombs guide.
