A tour of the Colosseum is a must for any visitor to Rome. Yet visiting the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill in the blistering heat of the summer sun, shoving through the crowds at Rome’s most visited attraction, can quickly feel like a chore. Luckily we have created a 3 hour early Colosseum small group tour, designed to help you beat the crowds and avoid the heat of the day.

You will meet your guide and group bright and early at 8:15am by the Colosseum. You will have the pleasure of touring in an intimate and friendly group of a maximum of 13 people. Your early morning tour of the Colosseum will be lead by an enthusiastic licensed guide who is an expert in all things Ancient Rome. You will feel as though you have been transported back to the days of the great Roman Empire, finding the answers to all of your questions.

You will enter the Colosseum with skip the line tickets, ensuring you priority entrance into the jaw-dropping amphitheater. Whilst the other tourists are just waking up, you will have the chance to admire the true beauty of the Colosseum and take some wonderful photos before it fills up with 3000 visitors. You will be able to really appreciate the architectural feat that the Romans achieved when they built the Colosseum 2000 years ago. Who built the Colosseum? How did they do it? Discover with your guide! You will be hooked as you learn about the gripping spectacles, including the world-famous gladiator battles, which took place inside.

After you have explored the Colosseum, your Early Colosseum small group tour will continue to the Palatine Hill. The climb up to one of Rome’s Seven Hills will be well worth it. You will see the ruins of the palaces where Emperor’s once lived, as you tour the most exclusive quarter in Ancient Rome. Imagine the Beverly Hills of Ancient Rome... This is the Palatine Hill!

The final stop on this early morning Ancient Rome adventure will be the Roman Forum. The true hub of Ancient Rome, you will walk through the ruins of temples and marketplaces. Your guide will help you to truly envisage the former splendor of the Roman Forum in its glory days, with their gripping storytelling and use of reconstruction images.
