If you are in Rome from April through October you can enjoy a truly unique experience and make your visit of the Colosseum an unforgettable one. You will admire the Amphitheater under the light of the moon: it will be just you and your group (maximum 25 people) in each area iof the Colosseum!

This 3 hour unique experience begins at our office near the Colosseum, where you will be greeted by our staff. You will then be introduced to your guide, an expert in Ancient Rome and master storyteller! Afterwards, you will walk all the way back and finally enter the Colosseum, enjoying a relaxing 1 hour and 15 minutes visit away from the daily crowd. You will learn all about the history of the Colosseum and about the brutal gladiator combats that used to take place inside. During the tour you will be able to set foot in areas usually closed to the public, like the Arena and the Dungeons, where gladiators and wild beasts were held during the events. Your group will listen to your fascinating guide sharing amazing anecdotes about the mind-blowing history of this center of Ancient Roman entertainment, the lives of gladiators and which kind of beasts were brought inside to combat. You will really feel as though you are there among the gladiators, lions and emperors!

  AVAILABILITY: Available only from April through October.

  SECURITY CHECKS: When accessing the monument the Colosseum visitors will be asked to pass security checks, even when entering with pre-booked tickets or vouchers.

  NOT ALLOWED: Please make sure you DO NOT have pointed big umbrellas and knives of any sizes with you.  Liquids are allowed but only if in plastic bottles. Remember that you can refill your containers in the fountains inside the Colosseum.

  BAGS: Back bags are allowed inside the Colosseum if very small in size; shoulder bags or handbags are permitted if regular size.

  This tour is not suitable for people with hearing disability. People with hearing disabilities can contact us and we will be happy to customize a private tour.

  In adverse weather conditions the Colosseum administration may close the arena floor and dungeons for safety reasons. In this case you will enter through a different entrance and spend longer in other parts of the Colosseum. If the whole event is cancelled, alternative tour/refund will be offered.
