The Borghese Gallery, despite being located in the center of Rome, is immersed in the stunning Borghese Garden on the Pincian Hill.
In the Borghese Gallery you will be able to admire the Rape of Proserpina by Bernini, the Apollo and the David sculpted by the young Bernini when he was 22 to 25 years old. You will also see two paintings by Titian, a great collection of Caravaggio paintings, an amazing art-work by Raphael and many other important masterpieces from the Renaissance and Baroque period. If you love art and art-history, do not miss our Borghese Gallery tour.
Among the art works preserved in the Borghese Gallery we would also suggest Raphael’s “Entombment,” depicting the sad scene of a mother (Mary) and her last gaze upon her son, Jesus Christ.
