Tour Description

Our Rome Treasure Hunt will take you and your kids back to the magnificence of Baroque Rome, with the help of a fun, child-friendly private guide. Say goodbye to stress and long faces: choose our Baroque Treasure Hunt and you won’t have to struggle to keep your kids entertained! RPG will help you create a memorable family vacation, thanks to the experience of the best kid-friendly guides in Rome. Each chilid will receive a pencil and a book full of clues to solve, drawings to complete and fun anecdotes about the history of Baroque Rome. They will learn whilst having fun!

With our Rome Treasure Hunt your little ones will discover the monuments of Rome in an original and stimulating way. They will solve clues to find out all the secrets of Caravaggio’s paintings, Bernini’s fountains and all the other Baroque masterpieces scattered in the city centre. Your kids will have fun and learn without even realizing it!

Your private guide will wait for you near the Spanish Steps, in front of the Spanish Embassy. Here she will hand over the drawing materials and will start right off with one of the most beautiful works of Baroque Art, the “Barcaccia” fountain created by Bernini! The itinerary includes stops at the nearby St. Maria del Popolo Basilica, together with an inside visit to the Pantheon. This is one of the best preserved pagan temples of Rome, now a Church, famous for its huge emispherical dome, punctured by a 30ft-wide circular hole, called an ‘oculus’. Does rain enters inside the Pantheon through the hole? This is one of the mysteries kids will surely ask about!

Our Baroque Treasure Hunt will include three more Baroque Churches, but don’t worry, it won’t be a boring visit. As our enthusiastic guide won’t fail to point out, each place in Rome is full of anecdotes, facts and history to find out! The Baroque period was a time when the City of the Popes was the most beautiful city in the world, with artists coming from all over the world to embellish its streets and palaces. There is so much to discover and learn, that is why our Baroque Treasure Hunt is surely an unmissable experience that will mix fun and culture!

The final stop on our Baroque Treasure Hunt itinerary will bring you to the beautiful Navona Square. This huge “piazza” is the very heart of Baroque Rome, mainly thanks to the Four Rivers Fountain by Bernini right in the middle of it.

At the end of our Baroque Rome Treasure Hunt all the little participants will receive a prize and a certificate confirming their new status of “expert of Baroque Rome”. This tour will be the highlight of your trip to Rome. Let RPG take care of your vacation, you won’t be disappointed.
