In St Clemente’s Basilica, built in the 12th century over the 4th-century Early Christian church, you will actually enter a 2nd-century pagan temple dedicated to the God Mithra, as well as a 1st-century Roman house, called an “insula”.

After your visit of St Clemente’s Basilica, our private driver will  take you and your guide to the catacombs. On your way to the catacombs your guide will explain to you the history, as inside the catacombs you must tour with an official guide of the catacombs as part of a small group tour.
