Who said that history is not fun? Discovering Ancient Rome can be both fun and educational. With our Ancient Rome Tour for kids you will have a child-friendly professional guide, who will use all their expertise and overlay books or iPads with tridimensional programs to entertain the children.

With our pre-purchased Skip the Line Tickets and the chance to tour at your own pace, your kids won’t grow restless, as can happen during the longer adult tours. Everybody in the family will learn about Gladiator combats, Roman emperors, Senators, Pagan Gods and Roman mythology. During this tour you will hit the three most important buildings of Ancient Rome: not only will you visit the first and second level of the Colosseum, but you will also explore the archaeological areas of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. Your guide will lead you along the cobbled pathways of the Roman Forum, where once Romans led their daily, public life. Your guide will have you hanging on their every words, while they describe the ruins of temples, arches, buildings and shrines that are still visible today! You will also go up to the Palatine Hill, one of the seven hills of Rome, where Emperors once had their residences built. That was no coincidence: a wonderful view over the city of Rome can be admired from here! Take in the panorama and snap a family shot with Rome in the background!

Would you like to customize your tour? You can opt for a longer tour including a visit to St Clemente's Basilica, with its stunning undergrounds dating back to the 1st and 4th centuries.

Another option? When you are on the Palatine Hill we can grant you access to the Houses of Emperor Augustus and Livia! These special areas of the Palatine are not included in the regular Archaeological Rome Tour and the visit needs to be booked in advance.

SECURITY CHECKS: When accessing the monument the Colosseum visitors will be asked to pass security checks, even when entering with pre-booked tickets or vouchers.

NOT ALLOWED: Please make sure you DO NOT have pointed big umbrellas and knives of any sizes with you. Liquids are allowed but only if in plastic bottles. Remember that you can refill your containers in the fountains inside the Colosseum.
